Personal data protection
The General Protection Regulation of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016) entered into force on 25 May 2018, which harmonize data protection rules in the Member States. The GDPR aims to provide greater control of individuals with regard to the processing of their personal data, to enhance the security of personal data, and to protect individuals in cases of breaches of confidentiality or integrity of their data.
Although the basic principles and concepts of the Regulation are largely already known to employers, there are also changes that are with big importance to them.
